The Financial Wellbeing Collective (FWC) is an innovative partnership of 14 community service and local government organisations providing a comprehensive range of integrated and person-centred services to reduce the drivers and impacts of financial hardship in the WA community. 

The Energy Ahead program is a project of the FWC led by Anglicare WA, a highly regarded not for profit organisation, delivering a diverse range of community services throughout Western Australia. Energy Ahead aims to assist up to 9,000 households experiencing financial hardship in the South West Interconnected System (SWIS). This is achieved by improving energy literacy, reducing energy consumption and bills, connecting clients to appropriate energy and complementary services and supporting, identifying, and removing barriers to accessing energy efficient appliances, technologies and goods.   

 

About the role

As the Manager, Energy Ahead, you will be responsible for the daily operations of Energy Ahead.  You will inspire and guide others to be their best and actively engage with stakeholders to ensure services delivered by Energy Ahead best meet the needs of the communities in which they operate.

This role will work closely with the Financial Wellbeing Collective Central Support Unit (CSU) and with FWC Partner organisations delivering services as part of the program across the SWIS.  The Manager Energy Ahead will ensure high quality, integrated service delivery.  Service quality is evidenced by positive client outcomes, delivery of funded commitments, within a culture of continuous improvement to practice. The role manages resources effectively to build a highly engaged, motivated and productive workforce.

A critical focus of the role includes motivating the cross-functional and cross-organisational Energy Ahead team employed across Partner organisations.  In addition, the role will be responsible for operationalising and improving processes and procedures, maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring KPI's are achieved,

This role requires travel across the SWIS, including occasional overnight stays when visiting regional locations.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) maximum term contract until 30 June 2025 that works as part of the Anglicare WA Statewide Services team and is based in East Perth.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and significant demonstrated relevant experience. 
  • A strong track record in working with complexity, including management of inter-organisational partnerships to drive outcomes 
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing staff and team performance, including recruitment, onboarding, supervision, performance reviews, staff disciplinary action, performance development, and team building 
  • Well-developed ability to innovate, lead change and be flexible 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing demands and work effectively under pressure 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Well-developed project management skills 
  • Well-developed report writing skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to work alongside and respect the cultural protocols of Aboriginal people, communities and organisations 
  • Demonstrated experience establishing and maintaining constructive, respectful and collaborative relationships internally and externally 
  • Demonstrated commitment to integrated service delivery and development of partnerships 
  • Well-developed knowledge of the community services sector. 

You also must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year and a Driver’s Licence.
