Energy Ahead is delivered on behalf of Synergy and aims to assist households experiencing financial hardship to improve energy literacy, reduce energy consumption and bills, connect to appropriate energy and complementary services and support, and identify and remove barriers to accessing energy efficient appliances, technologies and goods. Intake & Assessment Workers will be responsible for providing a person-centred, phone-based point of call for customers, working with them to assess eligibility for energy efficiency assessments and seamless connecting them with an Energy Coach.

This is a full-time, contract until 30 June 2025 based in Armadale.

You are a passionate individual who is driven to deliver a quality service for our clients.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to a wide range of clients in need of assistance, including clients from Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to efficiently identify client needs and prioritise accordingly
  • Well-developed computer literacy skills, and the ability to learn new computer systems quickly 
  • Ability to plan work and maintain accurate records
  • The ability to maintain high quality standards and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible, demonstrate initiative and work effectively under pressure

You also must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year.

Remuneration and benefits

  • Maximum term contract until 30 June 2025
  • Full time hours (Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm)
  • From $65,167 per annum + 11.5% super 
  • Tax-free salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 per annum may be available
