As a Program Facilitator you will engage with men in a court mandated targeted behaviour change process to support immediate, short term and long term behavioural and attitudinal change. Through group education initiatives in community based settings, you will provide culturally competent rehabilitation and reintegration services to male perpetrators of family and domestic violence. You will be co-facilitating evening groupwork sessions with another facilitator and role model respectful and appropriate ways of communicating and interacting with the ultimate end goal of breaking the cycle of family and domestic violence. The role also entails high level case note and assessment/report writing to the Department of Justice standards.

This is a full time ongoing role based in Midland, 37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday including working in the afternoon and evening two days per week Monday and Wednesday (12:30-20:30) to deliver the group work.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you will bring!

To achieve success in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a human services related field (a contractual requirement set by our funding body)
  • Significant industry experience with specialist knowledge relevant to family and domestic violence including knowledge of intervention models appropriate to working with FDV perpetrators.
  • Knowledge of the impact of family violence on adult victims, children, young people and communities
  • Ability to facilitate and deliver community education and community development programs
  • Excellent formal report and case note writing skills 
  • Experience working with mandated clients would be highly desirable

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, WA Drivers Licence and be able to obtain a Department of Corrective Services clearance.

  • $96,088-$98,152 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super
  •  In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount
