Join our Mandurah Family Relationship Centre as the Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and Supervisor, where you will walk compassionately and respectfully alongside families. You will aim to provide alternatives to formal legal processes for families who want to improve their family relationships, to prevent separation and to facilitate parents to make arrangements in the best interests of their children after separation. You will assist families with parenting and property matters and will be capable of working with families with complex needs, including those with family violence issues. Anglicare WA takes a therapeutic and child inclusive approach in assisting families through separation. 

This is a full time, permanent opportunity. The successful candidate must be able to work one evening shift on a Thursday 12:30pm - 8:30pm.

What you will bring

You are passionate about your professional practice and culturally appropriate services that aim to strengthen family relationships with a particular focus on the children’s needs.   

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Tertiary qualification Degree in Social Science, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Law or related field
  • Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution, or be working towards it
  • Current registration as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner with the Attorney General's department
  • Extensive clinical experience and supervision
  • Knowledge and experience in Family Dispute Resolution, Property Mediation, counselling and Child Inclusive Practice
  • Able to demonstrate understanding of the separation process, family dynamics and the needs of children
  • Knowledge of the effects of trauma and domestic violence on families, children and young people
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload and work with interpreters and cultural agility
  • Knowledge of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner Regulations and obligations

 

The successful candidate must also possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a Working with Children Check and a WA Driver’s License.

  • From $96,088 full time salary per annum + 11.5% superannuation
