headspace, Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation, provides vital early intervention mental health services to young people with mild to moderate mental health issues affecting their wellbeing. 

As the Clinical Lead, alongside the Service Manager, you will oversee the ongoing design, delivery and improvement of evidenced-based care to support young people's wellbeing, including providing clinical leadership, consultation and expertise to headspace staff, consortium and private practitioners, as well as engaging with local communities and key stakeholders.  

This is max term, full-time (37.5 hrs per week) opportunity until 1 Feb 2026 based in Karratha. 

Desired Skills and Experience

What you will bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary level qualification in relevant clinical discipline including clinical psychology, psychology, social work, mental health nursing, occupational therapy, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience and advanced clinical skills in a range of mental health service settings
  • Experience in complex clinical triage, assessment and referral
  • Leadership skills and demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Highly developed cultural competency which will enable you to easily engage and build trust with people from diverse backgrounds, in particular Aboriginal communities.

The successful candidate must be registered with either Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), and possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and WA Drivers License.

  • $124,898 full time salary (includes 10% remote allowance) + 11.5% superannuation.

  • Additional 1 weeks leave after 12 months service
  • 3 days additional leave between Christmas and New Year
