Job Description

 

As the IT Support and Infrastructure Technician, working as part of a wider IT Ops team, you will provide technical support across IT operations, systems and network environments, acting as an escalation point beyond level 1 support while assisting within more complex troubleshooting and infrastructure tasks. Apart from assisting with network and infrastructure system support, you will be engaging in vendor and stakeholder coordination as well as supporting IT helpdesk and end user support. This is a well rounded and versatile entry level role that will have you exposed to  all facets of IT. 

The position is ongoing and full time, working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week based in our East Perth location.

What you will bring!

To achieve success in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience in an IT support or helpdesk role, providing technical assistance to end users.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft 365 applications and windows-based environments
  • Strong foundation knowledge of computer hardware, software, performance, and operating systems, with ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Proficiency in logging and documenting IT support activities using helpdesk ticketing system, including the development and review of knowledge base documentation and work instructions.
  • Basic level experience and previous exposure to basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity, VPN, SASE and WI-FI support.
  • Ability to effectively diagnose IT faults, apply troubleshooting steps, and escalate where necessary.
  • Proficiency in logging and documenting IT support activities using helpdesk ticketing system
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator AssociateCompTIA Network+ (or equivalent)CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent)ITIL4 Foundation (or equivalent) would be desirable  

The successful candidate must possess full Australian working rights, a current National Police Clearance valid within one year and a WA Drivers Licence.

  •  In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount (a benefit exclusive to non for profit organisations)
