As the Women's Worker, you will provide culturally secure, trauma-informed support and advocacy to women impacted by family violence. You’ll assess needs, offer safety planning, and connect women to relevant services. You’ll also deliver community education, facilitate group programs, and work closely with other agencies and community leaders to promote safety and healing.

This is a part-time (22.5 hours per week) contract until 30 June 2027, based in Derby.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you will bring

You will have:

  • Experience in working with individuals and families affected by family violence
  • Knowledge and experience of interventions including culturally secure and culturally responsive therapeutic interventions and case management
  • Knowledge of the impact of family violence on adult victims, children, young people and communities
  • Knowledge and experience of intervention models appropriate to working with family violence victims
  • Knowledge of the effects of trauma and domestic violence on families, children and young people
  • Report writing and verbal communication skills
  • Skills in establishing and facilitating groups and community events
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Time management and administration skills

The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers Licence.

Also:-

  • $92,400 per annum pro rata (includes 10% remote allowance) + 12% superannuation
  • Rent subsidy $250 per week and electricity allowance $1000 per annum (on application)
  • In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount.
