As the Practice Consultant - Financial Inclusion, you will play a key role in strengthening the delivery of financial counselling, emergency relief, no interest loans, and hardship grants. You will support staff with expert advice across financial services, maintain service standards and quality processes, and develop policies. You’ll drive practice excellence by providing training and building capability, ensuring services remain person-centred, trauma-informed, and culturally secure. You will lead or support program improvement, outcome measurement, and innovation, and help with internal investigations and complaint handling as required. Externally, you will represent Anglicare WA in sector forums and advocate on financial wellbeing issues, helping elevate the voice of clients and programs.
This is a permanent, part-time (30 hours per week) opportunity based in East Perth.
About You
In order to be successful in this role you will have:
- Diploma in Financial Counselling
- Knowledge of the psycho-social impacts of financial stress, instability and poverty
- Understanding of the individual, social and structural factors involved in financial stress and poverty
- Knowledge of welfare systems, debt and money management, financial literacy and low income saving schemes
- Knowledge of debt consolidation, restructuring and credit counselling
- Highly developed supervision skills within a reflective practice framework
- Knowledge of debt consolidation, restructuring and credit counselling
- Knowledge of legal aspects of debt management and consumer protection
- Ability to lead and influence, and strong communication skills
- Knowledge of change management principles and processes
You will also need a National Police Clearance current within 1 year and a WA Drivers License.
