Join an organisation where your leadership and clinical expertise genuinely change lives. In this role, you will guide and strengthen two highly valued suicide postvention programs, supporting individuals, families and young people across Western Australia who are navigating the profound impact of suicide bereavement.
About the Role
Anglicare WA’s ARBOR and CYPRESS programs provide essential, compassionate support to people during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Your work will not only influence how support is delivered—it will also build community capability, strengthen sector partnerships, and shape how Western Australia responds to suicide loss.
As the Program Coordinator, you will:
- Lead both the operational and clinical aspects of ARBOR & CYPRESS.
- Provide strong, supportive team leadership with a focus on growth and reflective practice.
- Ensure programs remain responsive, evidence-based and aligned with contract and service delivery requirements.
- Build meaningful relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and agencies.
- Promote awareness of suicide postvention and advocate for compassionate community responses.
This is a full-time permanent position (37.5 hours per week).
About you
You bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (AHPRA eligibility preferred).
- Deep experience supporting adults, children, and young people impacted by trauma, suicide bereavement, or mental health challenges.
- Confidence in leading teams, providing reflective supervision, and nurturing professional growth.
- Strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a collaborative leadership style.
- Passion for inclusive practice and commitment to strengthening community wellbeing.
You’ll also hold (or be willing to obtain): National Police Clearance, WA Working with Children Check, WA Driver’s Licence, and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
A police record is not an automatic barrier to employment with us. We welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, and we review any disclosures on an individual basis, focusing on relevance to the role.
Impact and benefits
Sharing your knowledge, skills and experience, you will make an impact to the lives of young people and our communities across the state.
In return for your drive and commitment, we provide the support of an inclusive and welcoming community which places people at the heart of all the work we do and encourages broad thinking, curiosity, creativity and best practice.
Also:
- Competitive salary: $117,526.50 + 12% superannuation
- Salary packaging up to $15,900 per year (approx. $4k take-home benefit after tax)
- Additional packaging of up to $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses
- Three additional leave days per year over the festive period
- Hybrid working and flexible, life-friendly arrangements
- A supportive, values-driven team culture where wellbeing, curiosity and innovation are encouraged.
