The WA No Interest Loans Scheme (WA NILS) is part of the Anglicare WA Financial Wellbeing Team. The program provides families and individuals on low incomes across Western Australia with the opportunity to apply for small, no interest loans in time of need. These loans help people purchase essential household items and services without the burden of interest charges or fees.
As a Small Loans Officer, you will be responsible for processing and approving applications for No Interest Loans.
The is a Full time (1.0 FTE) max term opportunity until June 2026.
What you will bring
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to a wide range of clients in need of assistance, including clients from an Aboriginal and CALD background.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed computer skills (MS Word, MS Outlook, client management system)
- Ability to prioritise, plan work and maintain accurate records
- Ability to be flexible, demonstrate initiative and work effectively under pressure in a team environment
- The ability to maintain high quality standards and attention to detail
- Ability to work within defined policies and procedures
The successful applicant must also have a valid National Police Clearance and a WA Driver's Licence.
