Job Description

Energy Ahead is delivered on behalf of Synergy and aims to assist households experiencing financial hardship to improve energy literacy, reduce energy consumption and bills, connect to appropriate energy and complementary services and support, and identify and remove barriers to accessing energy efficient appliances, technologies and goods. Under the direction of the centralised Energy Ahead Team Leader Energy Coaching, Energy Coaches conduct household energy assessments, deliver tailored energy efficiency reports, education and coaching to households, and provide low-cost energy efficient items to address underlying factors that contribute to high household energy costs.

This is a part time opportunity (0.8 FTE - 30 hours per week) based in Bunbury until 30 September 2026

About you

You are a passionate individual who is driven to deliver a quality service for our clients. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to a wide range of clients in need of assistance, including clients from Aboriginal and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Experience working independently and with minimal direction
  • Well developed computer literacy skills, and the ability to learn new computer systems quickly 
  • Well developed numeracy skills
  • The ability to maintain high quality standards and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible, demonstrate initiative and work effectively under pressure

You also must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one yeara WA Working with Children Check and a WA White Card (or a willingness to obtain one).

Remuneration and benefits

  • Maximum term contract until 30 September 2026
  • From $75,387 per annum + 12% super (weekend penalties offered in addition)
  • Tax-free salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 per annum
