Join our Child and Parent Centre (CPC) in Arbor Grove where you will support the development and implementation of play based activities and programs which provide connection and learning opportunities for families and children aged 0-8 (working predominately with 0 to 4 years olds). You will make a direct impact to the lives of families and communities in the Ellenbrook area, helping make it a more resilient, secure, harmonious and connected place to live for families from all cultures and backgrounds. You will  participate in community events, provide information and promote the CPC programs as well as provide referrals to other services where appropriate. You will also provide feedback on local children, families and community needs to inform service activities and staff planning to ensure a high quality of service overall.

This is a parental leave maximum term opportunity, working 15 hours per week until 16 October 2026.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Sound knowledge of early childhood development and needs
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve and use initiative
  • Understanding of issues impacting children in families from low socio-economic backgrounds
  • Experience working with diverse groups, including Aboriginal people and CaLD communities.
  • Basic computer skills and use of social media

This role requires a current (or willingness to obtain) National Police Clearance. A police record is not an automatic barrier to employment with us. We welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, and we review any disclosures on an individual basis, focusing on relevance to the role. The successful candidate must also possess a current National Police Clearance valid within three years, a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers Licence.

  • Salary starts at $67,450 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation
  • In addition to your remuneration, you will enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount
  • Flexible, family friendly working conditions
