Are you ready to step into a unique and impactful leadership role? As the Practice Consultant – Family and Domestic Violence, you will lead and embed FDV informed practice across Anglicare WA’s FDV services. You’ll strengthen quality and consistency through practice development, service standards, outcomes measurement and training, while supporting managers and practitioners with expert consultation and supervision. Working alongside a specialist Practice Excellence team, you’ll bring contemporary FDV expertise to drive service improvement, innovation and risk-informed practice. You’ll also represent Anglicare WA across local and national forums, building partnerships and advocating for high‑quality, victim‑centred responses to family and domestic violence.

This is a permanent, part-time (30 hours per week) opportunity based in East Perth.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

You bring expertise, curiosity, and a passion for practice development. You’ll have:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or a related discipline.
  • Expert knowledge of victim safety and perpetrator practice within FDV, including contemporary, evidence‑informed models and emerging approaches.
  • A deep understanding of the impacts of FDV on women, children, families and communities, including culturally responsive practice with Aboriginal communities.
  • Significant practice experience in the area of FDV and confident practice to build confidence and trust in the teams you work with. 
  • Leadership ability to use influence to support a culture of best practice.
  • Strong capability in practice leadership, supervision, mentoring and delivering high‑quality training grounded in reflective and person‑centred practice.
  • Knowledge of state and national FDV policy, quality frameworks and risk management, with the ability to apply this to service improvement and assurance.
  • Ability to interpret research, data and trends to guide practice excellence, innovation and outcomes measurement.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with confidence representing services externally.

This role requires a current (or willingness to obtain) National Police Clearance, WA Working with Children Check and WA Drivers License. Please note that the organisation may seek to request an international police clearance if necessary.
