The Innovation & Strategy team challenges the status quo and reimagines what's possible for our organisation and the communities we serve. The team brings together Strategic Development, Advocacy and Government Relations, Brand and Communications, and Innovation and Design to drive meaningful impact across Anglicare WA.

As the Strategic Development Manager, you will lead the Strategic Development team and work closely with leaders across Anglicare WA to embed our strategic direction, including Strategy 2030, into everyday decision-making, systems and ways of working. Reporting to the Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer, you will provide advice and guidance to senior leaders, foster organisational alignment, and support the development and refinement of strategic governance approaches.

You will play a key role in translating strategy into action by supporting strategic planning, governance, collaboration and organisational development initiatives. Working across the organisation, you will help build shared ownership of strategic priorities, strengthen internal partnerships and create systems that support continuous improvement and sustainable outcomes for individuals, families and communities.

This is a full-time permanent position based in East Perth. Flexible working arrangements, including working from home, are supported.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic organisational change and delivering measurable outcomes
  • Advanced understanding of strategic and organisational planning, including translating strategy into actionable initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and change management skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences
  • Proven leadership capability and experience developing high-performing teams
  • Highly developed communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Experience driving innovation, continuous improvement and organisational development initiatives
  • Extensive experience leading service teams across a range of community services
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in business, strategy, organisational development, change management, leadership or a related discipline, or equivalent leadership experience

The successful applicant must possess a current National Police Clearance and WA Driver's Licence and be willing to travel within Western Australia and Australia as required.

A police record is not an automatic barrier to employment with us. The organisation may seek to request an international police clearance if necessary.
