Our Service Manager, Youth Services leads a workforce of more than 70 employees delivering 5 quality services across multiple locations throughout Perth. This role provides strategic leadership to a large and diverse team, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality and person-centred services that achieve meaningful outcomes for young people.

You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the service, building team capability and wellbeing, strengthening organisational partnerships, and ensuring services continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of young people and the broader community.

We are seeking an inspiring and values-driven leader who is committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, quality services, accountability and continuous improvement. You will have a strong focus on building respectful and productive relationships, supporting your team to thrive, while maintaining a proactive approach to risk management and service quality.

As a recognised leader within the Youth Services sector, Anglicare WA actively contributes to policy, advocacy and service development across the state. We are looking for someone who is passionate about leading our strategic engagement and helping shape the future of Youth Services in WA.

This is a full time permanent (37.5 hours per week) opportunity based in Leederville, at Foyer Oxford.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

This is a unique opportunity to lead a diverse and dedicated team delivering residential, crisis, transitional housing and outreach services for young people across Perth, including one of Australia's longest-standing and largest Youth Foyer programs

As Service Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role, shaping service quality, driving innovation, and representing Anglicare WA in sector-wide advocacy and systems change initiatives.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant demonstrated experience in a related field.
  • Experience preparing, contributing to, and securing funding through tenders, grants and funding applications.
  • Commitment to integrated and client-centred service delivery.
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining constructive, respectful and collaborative relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Outstanding communication, stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Strong personal resilience and wellbeing practices, with the ability to model these for others in a challenging service environment.
  • Experience managing program budgets and resources effectively.
  • Demonstrated success managing all aspects of people leadership, including recruitment, onboarding, supervision, performance development, employee relations, and team culture.
  • Proven experience leading large, diverse and geographically dispersed teams, ideally within 24-hour service environments.
  • Well-developed understanding of the community services sector, including government and not-for-profit organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of, and experience working with, young people. Membership with Youth Work WA is desirable.

You also must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year; a WA Working with Children Check and a WA Drivers Licence.

A police record is not an automatic barrier to employment with us. We welcome applications from people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, and we review any disclosures on an individual basis, focusing on relevance to the role.

Impact and Benefits

Sharing your knowledge, skills and experience, you will make an impact to the lives of families and communities across the state.

In return for your drive and commitment, we provide the support of an inclusive and welcoming community which places people at the heart of all the work we do and encourages broad thinking, curiosity, creativity and best practice.

Also:

  • Starting salary $150325.21 per annum plus 12% superannuation
  • Flexible, family friendly working conditions
  • Great workplace culture
  • Enjoy generous tax-free salary packaging benefits where you can package up to $15,900 per annum and not pay tax on that amount.
